Matteo Dainese is an ecologist with a strong background in studying alpine and agricultural ecosystems in the context of global change. He has worked at Eurac Research (Bozen), completed postdoctoral research in Germany and Italy (University of Würzburg and University of Padua), and is currently a researcher at the University of Verona (Department of Biotechnology). His research lies at the intersection of biodiversity ecology, global change, and ecosystem services, with a strong focus on alpine and agricultural systems. His work contributes to understanding how biodiversity can be protected and managed to sustain ecosystem functioning and benefits in a rapidly changing world.
