The laboratory presents the students the more recent techniques and algorithms to be used for the biological data interpretation. This laboratory is aimed at covering different areas of bioinformatics: proteomics, genomics, molecular biology and structural biology.
The state-of-art programs and algoritms will be used in the different fields of bioinformatics:
Evolution and phylogenesis
Ab initio gen prediction.
Validation of the predicted genes using gen expression data.
Introduction to Microarray programs and databases.
Protein bioinformatics: structural prediction by the use of the different tecniques (comparative modeling, fold-recofgnition and ab initio fold prediciton)
Functional annotation.
