The course aims at furnishing the theoretical and technological basis to approach the study of protein functions.
The course integrates proteomic strategies, target identification, biochemical interaction analysis, protein arrays, informatics-based interaction prediction to address the investigation of the proteinogenic changes that underlie the disease pathomechanisms, with examples based on selected diseases.
Definitions of proteome and proteomics
Bioinformatic interacting networks
native MS analysis
protein enrichment methods
biochemical approaches to protein protein interaction
identification of new therapeutical targets in breast cancer
