Dr. Luca Zuliani is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Biochemistry and Industrial Biotechnology Laboratory within the Biotechnology Department of the University of Verona (Italy). His scientific interests are towards the study and the development of sustainable and green solutions. Presently, he is working on the discovery of new microorganisms and enzymes for the degradation of lignocellulosic biomasses and plastics. He has obtained his master’s degree cum laude in agri-food biotechnology in 2014 and after that, as a research fellow, he has worked on the biotechnological improvement of non-model microalgae to produce high-value products. During his Ph.D., he has studied the photoprotection mechanisms of the model microalga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii to enable higher biomass accumulation
